craftsmanship.

After collecting the materials, everything is laid out on a barn wood table in my NE Portland home studio with a focus on texture, pattern and durability. With a cup of tea in hand, I analyze and re-organize the materials to produce a comforting collection of handcrafted goods for each season. After the designs are cut and assembled, zippers are hand-placed and sewn in, and each pillow is stuffed to perfection. Naturally, it takes extra time to make sure each piece is thoughtfully made and that all details are inspected by hand.

Land & Kamp is sustainable and leaves minimal waste – each scrap is skillfully utilized.

First, I make the largest item, then I use the leftovers to make the next size, then the next, until I have just the tiniest fragments left – perfect for a pair of earrings. It’s through this meticulous process that each piece turns out wonderfully imperfect and brings justice to its independent character.

The exchange from maker to customer is often as close as a handshake because I am your neighbor who also loves fashion and finding incredibly unique pieces to add to my curated style. Take your time choosing which item you love the most – a lot of hard work and heart is put into each product to ensure what you take home brings you joy and makes you feel special. But most importantly has everyone asking where you got your bag! You can tell them it was made just for you because there will never be more than a twin of your bag in the world!
